Quality control is aimed at measuring the dimensions of manufactured parts to ensure that they fulfill quality requirements. It is an indispensable but challenging task for manufacturers in production process. When it comes to maintaining the quality of precise machinery parts, quality inspection carries a big weight.

 

QC technicians are in charge of investing errors that occurs during manufacturing and implementing corrective actions to eliminate defects. Traditional measurement device CMM is not only very expensive, but also confronted with many obstacles. It is hard to obtain full 3D data for curved and soft surface, deformable and large-scale objects; measurement process can be fast due to mechanical motion; this contact measurement makes mechanical wear of probe and object’s surface.
