"DefinSight-Mobile" is a screen mirroring - focused service offered by SCANTECH (HANGZHOU) CO., LTD. (collectively referred to as "we"). We prioritize your personal information protection, utilize industry - standard security measures, and clarify our personal information handling (collection, storage, use, sharing, disclosure, deletion) and protection methods in this policy. Also, you’ll find here how to exercise your personal information - related rights.

 

It should be particularly noted that even with your authorization, we won’t collect your information when the relevant functions or services don’t require it. For details, refer to Application Permission Request and Usage Explanation.

 

This policy applies to all DefinSight versions and platforms, including mobile and desktop ends. Before using DefinSight products or services, please read and understand this policy thoroughly. It covers:

    I. Collection and Use of Personal Information


    (I) Personal Information We Collect

    In the following business scenarios, DefinSight may collect and use your personal information for these purposes:

     

    1.1 Login. When you log in to DefinSight, you agree to register a DefinSight account. You can choose:

    If you opt for mobile number login, you need to provide your mobile number.

    If you opt for email login, you need to provide your email address.


    1.2 Providing network and operational security.

    To safeguard your account, network, and system from frauds like phishing and malware, we collect data like gateway number - taking error logs for statistical analysis. During your DefinSight usage, we may collect device information, including unchangeable identifiers (e.g., IMEI, Android ID, OAID, MAC address, storage info on Android). DefinSight may assess account risks via your browsing, software, and device information, and record risky links (URLs). We also use device and log information for problem analysis, traffic statistics, and risk during your use of authorized software and DefinSight online services. If you send abnormal information to DefinSight, we’ll use it for troubleshooting.

    1.3 Screen Mirroring: We’ll access Wifi info via GetConnectionInfo and SSID info via GetSSID to display Wifi names and ensure smooth cloud screen mirroring.

    1.4 Notifications: DefinSight may send product/service - related announcements (which may affect your rights and obligations) via email, SMS, etc. You can’t opt out of these notifications.

    1.5 Customer Service and After - Sales: When seeking support, we’ll verify your identity using account info and resolve issues based on your software, device info, emails, screenshots, documents, or phone conversations with customer service.


    1.6 Surveys: DefinSight collects questionnaire responses and contact details (name, company, phone, email) and consultation content submitted through various channels (hotline, email, forum, official account, etc.).


    1.7 Direct Marketing: DefinSight may use your personal information to send marketing messages via email, SMS, etc. You can opt out via the provided refusal method in emails or SMS.


    1.8 Third - Party Purchases: If you buy SCANOLOGY software products/services from dealers or agents, we’ll obtain order info (name, company, phone, address, software details) from them.

     

    (II) System Permissions We May Obtain

    We’ll request permissions necessary for specific product features. Denying a permission (by clicking “Disallow”) will only affect the use of that particular feature, not others.

     

    II. Sharing, Transfer, and Disclosure of Personal Information


    (I) Sharing

    DefinSight won’t share your personal information with any external companies, organizations, or individuals except in the following cases:

     

    1.1 Sharing with explicit consent: After obtaining your explicit consent, DefinSight may share your personal information with third parties.


    1.2 Sharing as required by laws, regulations, government requirements, or judicial orders.


    1.3 Sharing with authorized partners: To achieve the purposes stated in this policy, some DefinSight services are provided by third - party partners. We may share certain personal information with them to enhance customer service and user experience. We only share personal information that’s necessary, legal, legitimate, relevant, specific, and explicit for service provision. Partners can’t use the shared information for other purposes. For example, with your permission, we may share advertising coverage and effectiveness info (without personal identity information) with advertising and analytics partners, or provide them with aggregated, anonymized, and de - identified data.

     

    (II) Transfer

    DefinSight won’t transfer your personal information to other companies, organizations, or individuals except:

     

    2.1 With your prior explicit authorization or consent.


    2.2 To meet legal, regulatory, legal procedure, government, or judicial requirements.

     

    (III) Disclosure

    We’ll only disclose your personal information in the following cases:

    3.2 When publicizing lottery winners, we’ll display their phone numbers or account login names in a de - identified manner.

    3.3 We may publicly disclose and share big - data - related information that’s statistically processed and stripped of identity - related content with cooperative third parties.

    (I) Cookies

    To ensure website operation, DefinSight places small data files called Cookies on your computer or mobile device to identify specific devices or browsers and enhance browsing experience. We may use first - party Cookies (set by us) and third - party Cookies (set by third - party services on our website), but only for purposes stated in this policy. Cookies contain device info, user access times and dates, and activities on our website. They’re used for:

     

    1.1 Functional purposes. We may set authentication and security Cookies or anonymous identifiers to confirm secure login, detect fraud, improve service efficiency, and speed up login and response times.

    In addition to Cookies, we use web beacons and pixel tags on our website. For example, emails from DefinSight may contain click URLs linking to our online service - related website content. We track clicks to understand your online service preferences and make improvements.

     

    (III) Do Not Track (DNT)

    Many web browsers have a DNT feature that sends DNT requests to websites. Currently, major internet standards organizations haven’t established policies for responding to such requests. However, if your browser enables DNT, we’ll respect your choice.

     

    (IV) Mobile Analytics Software

    Our mobile client uses mobile analytics software to understand its functionality on your phone. This software may record usage frequency, events, performance data, and crash locations. We won’t link this information to any personal information you submit in the DefinSight mobile client.

     

    IV. Legal Basis for Personal Information Processing

    We won’t process your personal information without a legal basis. The specific legal basis depends on the scenario of collection and the type of personal information. We usually collect and use personal information in the following cases:

     

    1. To perform a valid contract between us and you.

     

    1. To fulfill legal obligations.

     

    1. To pursue our or a third party’s legitimate interests, such as running our business, answering your questions, improving products/services, conducting marketing checks, and preventing illegal activities. We may also have other legitimate interests and will explain them to you at the appropriate time.

     

    1. With your consent: 

    If you have any questions about the legal basis for our collection and use of personal information, please contact us via the methods in the “Contact Information and Complaint/Reporting Channels” section. The legal basis for our collection or use of personal information will depend on the specific circumstances of the personal information and the collection scenario.

     

    1. Processing personal information that you’ve publicly disclosed or that’s legally publicly available within a reasonable scope.

     

    1. Processing personal information for public interest - related news reporting and public opinion supervision within a reasonable scope.

     

    1. Other scenarios stipulated by applicable laws and regulations.

     

    Please note that in cases 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 above, we don’t need to obtain your consent to collect and use your personal information.

     

    V. Personal Information Protection and Storage

    Regarding control over your information: When you provide personal information to us through registration or other means, DefinSight and SCANTECH (HANGZHOU) CO., LTD. won’t sell or rent your personally identifiable information to others. We won’t use or share your personal information in ways unrelated to the above - mentioned content without your prior knowledge and consent. Your permission always comes first, and we’ll never share your information with any third parties that don’t represent DefinSight or aren’t bound by our confidentiality policy.

     

    (I) Storage Location

    We’ll store personal information collected lawfully within the People’s Republic of China within China. If your personal information needs to be transferred from China to overseas locations, we’ll strictly follow relevant laws and regulations and obtain your consent before proceeding.

     

    (II) Storage Duration

    We’ll retain your personal information for the shortest period necessary to provide products and services as required by Chinese laws and regulations. After this period, we’ll delete or anonymize your personal data. If deletion or anonymization isn’t technically feasible (e.g., information stored in backup archives), we’ll securely store it without further processing until deletion or anonymization is possible, at which point we’ll act immediately.

     

    (III) Protection Measures

    Your personal information security is crucial to us. We strictly comply with relevant laws and regulations and take industry - recognized reasonable and feasible measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss. We use industry - standard security measures to safeguard the personal information you provide. We’ve established access control mechanisms to ensure only authorized personnel can access personal information. We regularly conduct security and privacy protection training to enhance employees’ awareness of personal information protection. To prevent security incidents, we’ve formed a security team led by the operations department and developed early - warning mechanisms and emergency response plans. In case of a personal information security incident, we’ll inform you in a timely manner as required by laws and regulations, providing details of the incident, its potential impact, the measures we’ve taken or will take, suggestions for risk prevention, and remedies for you. We’ll immediately activate the emergency response plan to minimize losses.

    (I) Right to Access and Copy

    Except as otherwise provided by law or subject to our specific confidentiality obligations, you can access your personal information at any time.

     

    You can view your account information in the DefinSight App’s “Settings” interface. For other personal information generated during product/service use, please contact us by calling 400-880-8059 or emailing support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com.

     

    (II) Right to Data Portability

    You have the right to request a copy of your personal information we’ve processed. Under legal and regulatory requirements, we’ll provide a way for you to transfer it to a designated personal information processor or assist with data portability.

     

    (III) Right to Correct or Supplement Personal Information

    1. In the App: You can correct personal information via DefinSight App→Settings→Account.
    2. If you can’t correct it through the above method, contact us via “Settings” - “Feedback,” calling 400-880-8059, or emailing support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com. We’ll respond within 15 working days.

     

    (IV) Right to Erasure of Personal Information

    Note that not all your personal information can be erased. We’ll only delete it when legal conditions for deletion are met. If technical difficulties prevent deletion, we’ll stop processing it except for storage and necessary security measures.

     

    (V) Right to Change Consent Scope or Withdraw Consent

    For personal information obtained based on your consent, you can change the consent scope or withdraw consent, such as disabling system functions or account deletion.

     

    After withdrawal, we’ll stop processing the personal information obtained based on your consent. This may affect service provision. Withdrawal won’t affect the legality of previous processing or processing based on legal reasons other than consent.

     

    You can email support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com to withdraw consent or unlink personal information. We’ll process your request within 15 working days and stop collecting, using, and/ or disclosing your personal information thereafter.

     

    (VI) Right to Refuse Advertising or Direct Marketing

    You have the right to refuse marketing messages from us. You can exercise this right via “Settings” - “Feedback,” calling 400-880-8059, or emailing support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com.

     

    (VII) Right to Account Deletion

    You can contact us through our official channels to delete your account. We’ll process the deletion or confirm account deletion matters with you within 15 working days of receiving your request. You can also follow the guidance in the product and related web pages: on the web end, go to Avatar - Settings - Delete Account; on the mobile end, go to “My” - Avatar - “Account Deletion.”

     

    Note that account deletion is irreversible. After deletion, we’ll delete your related information or anonymize it, except as otherwise required by laws and regulations or when technically infeasible to delete. All content created by the account before deletion will also be deleted and can’t be recovered.

     

    (VIII) Right to Restrict Processing

    Under applicable laws and regulations, you can restrict or object to the processing of your personal information in specific circumstances. You can exercise this right via DefinSight App “Settings” - “Feedback,” calling 400-880-8059, or emailing support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com.

     

    (IX) Right to Explanation

    For personal information rights beyond those mentioned above that you’re entitled to under Chinese and other applicable laws, you can exercise them via “Settings” - “Feedback,” calling 400-880-8059, or emailing support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com.

     

    (X) Right to Complain or Sue

    You can file complaints about the exercise of these rights or our responses with the personal information protection authorities (such as cyberspace administration, industry and information technology, market regulation, and public security departments) in your place of residence or where the action occurred, or sue in the Hangzhou Yuhang District People’s Court.

     

    (XI) Other Rights

    For other personal information rights you have under Chinese and other applicable laws, you can exercise them via “Settings” - “Feedback,” calling 400-880-8059, or emailing support@3d-SCANOLOGY.com.

     

    (XII) Responding to Requests

    To protect your personal information security, we may ask you to submit a written request or verify your identity. After identity confirmation, we’ll respond within 15 working days. If delays occur due to objective reasons, we’ll extend the timeline with your consent and reply within the extended period. We generally don’t charge for reasonable requests but may impose a reasonable fee for multiple or excessive requests. We’ll reject requests for information unrelated to you, multiple unreasonable requests, or those risky to others’ rights, with reasons provided.

     

    Additionally, if you’re acting on behalf of another person, provide identity and authorization documents for both. For deceased individuals’ personal information requests, provide your identity proof, the deceased’s death certificate, your relationship proof, your legitimate interest explanation, will (if applicable), and other relevant documents from other close relatives.

     

    VII. Handling of Minors’ Personal Information

    We prioritize the protection of minors’ personal information. If you’re under 14 (or a child as defined by other laws, such as 13–16-year-olds under GDPR), please have your parents or guardians read this policy carefully and obtain their consent before using our services or providing information. We’ll only use or disclose such information when legally allowed, with explicit parental/guardian consent, or when necessary for child protection. If we find a child has registered and used our products/services without guardian consent, we’ll work with the guardian to delete the child’s personal information promptly.

We’ll revise it promptly based on relevant laws, regulations, national policies, and product/service updates. Such revisions are integral to this policy and have equal legal force.
