It involves with reverse analysis and research of a target product, so as to deduce and obtain design elements such as process flow, organizational structure, functional characteristics and technical specifications of the product to produce similar products.

Reverse engineering is used for hardware analysis in the commercial and military fields. The main purpose is to analyze the design principles directly from the finished product when we can’t easily obtain the necessary production information.

With the increasing development of manufacturing and product design levels, complexity and precision make reverse mapping more difficult, especially for complicated parts with curved surface. Therefore manually map and reverse is necessary, or producing a complete product is almost impossible.
